Welcome to Chestnut Farm Alpacas
- Chestnut farm is situated on the Nottinghamshire/ Lincolnshire boundary, the farm is a small bio secure unit run by ourselves Kay and Daron, we purchased our first four alpacas in 2007, with an aim to breed the highest quality alpacas using some of the worlds finest genetics and after careful selective breeding which has improved our herd year on year we have a selection of lovely alpacas for you to choose from.
Whether you are looking to add quality genetics to your existing herd or if you are just starting out, take a look at our sales page to see what little beauties we have available at the moment, we don’t always have all our available alpacas listed on our sales page so if you don’t see what you are looking for please get in touch. - We can offer starter herds, help and advice for the new breeder including an introductory husbandry course and we encourage our new owners to come and work with us and their animals so that they are confident and capable of looking after their Alpacas when they get them home, we also offer a full after sales service.
We can offer stud services from our boys, our light brown male Inca Nobleman has been with us since 2021 and we are very excited with what he has produced for us so far, his cria are all well grown and have his laid back temperament and his first cria in 2022 were some of the finest we have ever bred. - Then there is our Champion young white male Chestnut Farm Defiant, his first offspring were born in 2023 and we are really pleased with how they are looking.
- All our animals are eartagged, microchipped and registered or notified with the British Alpaca Society and come with a printout of their medical history.
- We endeavor to halter train all the alpacas that we breed for ease of handling.
- We are happy to talk alpaca to anyone with an interest in these fine creatures, whether you may be looking for breeding stock, stud services, pets or guard animals or just curious, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
